It is possible to insert tabs directly onto the ruler at the top of your document. By double clicking on the place where you want the tab to be set. If you do not have the ruler showing on the top of your document, click on View then tick the ruler option.

In the far left hand corner of your work screen you should see a square box with what looks like an L. This is the left tab. You have many options, click on the box with the L shape and see the tabs change. Clicking on the box repeatedly will allow you to view all of the different tabs.
Click on the ruler twice and the tab option box opens up, you can insert your tabs there. Set a left tab at 3.00. A right Tab at 12.0 and a centre tab at 7.5 Enter the tab details in the Tab Stop Position Box, Place the Alignment to left, centre, decimal, right, or bar, by ticking the radio button. Click on the Set button to set the Tab, Repeat for all the tabs you want, once you have set the tab you can add further tab stop positions.
Click on OK
When we want to clear our Tabs, Click on Format/Tabs and the same box will appear, click on Clear to clear a single tab or all to clear all the tabs in the document.
