PowerPoint 2000/XP - Presentations

Part 4

Decrease/Increase a Picture/Object

Click on the object until you get the white handles showing, click on one of the corner handles, until you see the black double ended arrow, this will keep your picture/object in proportion. Then drag out with your cursor to enlarge and drag in to decrease.

Outline View

On the next page you will find the Outline View of a PowerPoint outline viewpresentation. At the moment I have only one finished slide called Presentation.

You can see from the outline view left that I have five more slides that I have not named or worked on. In the outline view it is possible to type in the words you want for your presentation by clicking on the slide number that you want to work on. Useful if you misspell a word to just amend it on this outline pane rather than sort through your slides. You can type directly onto this pane you do not need to add text boxes.

AutoShapes

Open up the AutoShapes option on the drawing toolbar.

Here you will find many more options that you can use for your presentation. A selection of lines, connectors, basic shapes, block arrows and flowcharts. You should spend some time practising with these optionsforwardarrow to get a feel for working with them if you have not already done so. Click on the Chevron arrows to find further options such as action options.
