If you have chosen blank you will need to insert a text box as PowerPoint 2000/XP does not allow you to type on the page directly. You can click on the text box button at the bottom of your screen. It is on the Drawing toolbar. It loads automatically with PowerPoint 2000/XP. If you do not have the Drawing Toolbar showing insert it now. Click on View/Toolbars/Drawing
on the main toolbar. Alternatively, click on Insert/Text box.
The text box button is the black and white button with 'A' on it surrounded by lines.
Place your cursor under each of the tools on the Drawing toolbar to get the screen tip which shows what each button does. If your screen tips do not show up, ensure you have them ticked in the Options dialogue box which can be found in the Tools menu.
