Part 3

The Mail Merge Toolbar appears when you Edit your document or Data Source. Spend some time looking at the screen tips by placing your cursor under the buttons. (If screen tips do not show up ensure that you have them ticked to show in your Tools/Options box.)

A Data Source is usually a group of Contacts, but it could be a group of items or a group of anything at all. The Data Source is the collective source of a group, a Data Source is usually held on a Database. You can have a Database in the Word Application as you will see.

Create a Word Data Source

Click on Create Data Sourceforwardarrow
