Microsoft FrontPage is a complete Web creation editor and management solution that gives users at all levels everything they need to create the Web site they want.
It allows users and developers to maintain and manage their Web site with
confidence. It is not too difficult to follow because of its similarity to and compatibility with all Microsoft Office applications.
FrontPage is what is known as a WYSIWYG Editor.
FrontPage is suitable for beginners as it allows the code to be unseen. So if you have no knowledge of HTML yet want to create Web Pages. FrontPage is ideal. However, for the components in FrontPage to work correctly, servers needed to have FrontPage Extensions installed on their Servers.
The Final version of FrontPage is FrontPage 2003, which has now been replaced by Microsoft Office Expression Web and Microsoft Office Share Point Designer.
The first version, FrontPage 1.1 was released in 1995.
