Common Shortcut Keys
All Applications
These are common shortcut keys that will work across all MS Office applications, learning them off by heart when using office, will save time and energy.
To print the following shortcuts, select the shortcuts, click on file/print on your browser, tick the print 'selection' radio button. 
PRESS - TO ENABLE
- CTRL+Shift+Spacebar - Create non-beaking space
- CTRL+Hyphen - Create non-breaking hyphen
- CTRL+B - Make text bold
- CTRL+I - Make text italic
- CTRL+U - Underline text
- CTRL+SHIFT+< - Decrease font size
- CTRL+SHIFT+> - Increase font size
- CTRL+Q - Remove paragraph formatting
- CTRL+Spacebar - Remove formatting
- CTRL+C - Copy selected text
- CTRL+X - Cut
- CTRL+V - Paste
- CTRL+Z - Undo last action
- CTRL+Y - Redo last action
FUNCTION KEYS
- F1 - Get online help
- F2 - Move text or graphics
- F3 - Insert auto text entry
- F4 - Repeat last action
- F5 - Choose to go to the command (edit menu)
- F6 - Go to the next pane or frame
- F7 - Choose spelling command (tools menu)
- F8 - Extend a selection
- F9 - Update selected fields
- F10 - Activate menu bar
- F11 - Go to next field
Some users of Office fail to use the right click option on their mouse, whatever you are doing, check to right click before going up to the menus, you might find just the tool you need.
When you want to change the font size from the toolbar button, did you know that you are not restricted to what Microsoft Office provides on sizes, clicking in the font size box itself, highlight the size, which will allow you to type in any size that you want to use.
